Intended result: Increased capability of state and county authorities to develop, implement WASH policies and strategies and manage related services for local communities<br />
Activities: Workshops, trainings, on-the-job coaching, study visits<br />

Objective: Increased food security for the Ugandan population<br />
Target group: 8 local governments, 2 national local government associations (UAAU and ULGA)<br />
Intended result: Local governments are able to contribute to the security of food supply<br />
Activities: Technical assistance, benchmarking, network meetings and study visits<br />

Objective: Contributing to social and economic development through stimulating Local Economic Development (LED)<br />
Target group: 15 local governments, 3 Catchment Management Agencies (CMAs) and the national association of local governments SALGA<br />
Intended result: Local governments are better able to promote economic development<br />
Activities: Coaching, training, workshops and network meetings<br />

ESAP2 is financed through a World Bank (WB) managed Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) and guided and supervised by a Steering Committee (SC) which includes representatives of the Government of Ethiopia, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Development Partners (DPs). Development partners taking part in the MDTF are: Irish Aid, European Union, DFID, Austrian Development Cooperation, Canadian International Development Agency. <br />
